JOHN SCHELL AT RANDWICK

THE BEST BETBeaded (Race 4)Lightly raced mare Beaded is a daughter of Lonhro which has shown great talent in winning three of her four starts. Beaded was beaten on debut when third to Vows at Canterbury but then she showed her ability in winning with ease at Wyong and backing it up with a Canterbury midweek success. Trainer Peter Snowden then gave Beaded a spell before unleashing the four-year-old again in midweek company at Canterbury first-up from the break. After sitting behind the speed, Beaded got clear on straightening and was dominant in scoring. Beaded is ready for the step up to Saturday grade, and she should get every chance from a good gate in this event.THE NEXT BESTMadame Pedrille (Race8)The Darren Smith-trained Madame Pedrille is a high-quality mare that has turned in two strong performances since resuming from a spell. Madame Pedrille resumed in the Sheraco Stakes at Rosehill with a dashing display to score over the likes of More Joyous, which has since confirmed the form with a runaway victory in the Tea Rose Stakes last weekend. At her latest start Madame Pedrille hit the line well for a second to top-notch mare Hot Danish in the Research Stakes. Last preparation Madame Pedrille looked good in racing her way through the grades to win the Triscay Stakes. She rises to 56.5 kilograms for today's race but she has drawn well in barrier three, and jockey Chris Munce can take advantage of her tactical speed.THE OUTSIDERWalking Or Dancing (Race 5)Trainer Brett Partelle had Walking Or Dancing racing in consistent form during the autumn carnival, and he scored at this track at his latest run before being spelled. Walking Or Dancing has won six of his 24 starts, and before his last-start victory, he had been placed in his previous four starts, including a third in the Newcastle Newmarket behind Solo Flyer. Walking Or Dancing had finished fifth in the Magic Millions Cup at the Gold Coast going back to January this year. Walking Or Dancing generally performs well fresh with a win and two minor placings from four attempts. Hugh Bowman takes the ride on the galloper today, and he has a good draw in gate three.THE EXOTIC BETQuinella (Race 6)Star performer Racing To Win has had three starts over the Randwick mile, and remains unbeaten. His record can't be any better than successes in the Doncaster Handicap, George Main Stakes and Epsom Handicap, all at group 1 level. Racing To Win has had two runs back from a spell, and he looks to be back in great shape. He didn't have the best of luck when fourth to Trusting first-up in the Warwick Stakes then he carted topweight to win the Theo Marks Stakes in impressive style at Rosehill last time out. He is suited back to weight-for-age in this. The Gai Waterhouse-trained Rock Kingdom resumed from a spell and ran a bold race when second to Racing To Win in the Theo Marks. He steps up to weight-for-age grade here, which isn't ideal, but Waterhouse wouldn't be starting the gelding if she didn't think he was up to the task.Numbers: 2, 9 = 1 combination
